Food for Thought...!!

With a restless mind, Here I lay. The cold voice of silence stirs, Even unto the breaking of day.   It teases and torments, All fo my most feared thoughts it says. With no mercy yeilding the pain, It starts to dim the brightness of the rays.   Destroying all hope, And deteering all which that saves. The strength of its words, Come as crashing waves.   My mind filled with darkness and despair, It knows only one thing to be true. There's but one which keeps my heart beating, And that one is you.   But as time continues to unwind, Its' icy cold talons poke and prod. And as tears continue to fall, This battered heart begins to feel odd.   It hopes less and less, And is empty to the core. For the feelings it once had, Are present nor making it sore no more.   The time and distance, Along with rejection and pain. Have broken its very spirit, For it to never heal again.   With a surge of victory, Those talons are the vice of death. And in the lonely darkness of this night, No one hears my last breath.
